Waste Prevention Implementation Fund

Grants available for the implementation of waste prevention measures.

Scottish Government funded has helped Scottish businesses to cut waste and improve margins. Some examples are;

  • Funding for EPOS tills and training helped Beth Brownings Bakery improve reporting and sales as well as optimise raw material purchases to prevent waste.
  • To reduce packaging and offer shoppers a means to reduce plastic waste, we supported Locavore with their unpackaged store.
  • Investment in a cask racker helped Swannay Brewery to dramatically reduce waste and save nearly £10k per annum.

The Waste Prevention Implementation Fund has proven a great success with the business community. Funding is not available, at this time, for the 2020/21 fiscal.

We will review our options about how we can best support businesses financially going forward.
